Terms of Service

These Terms set out the conditions and procedures for using the Shortsmith service (the “Service”) provided by Changup Plus (the “Company”), and the rights and obligations of the Company and its members.

• “Service” means the online tool that uses AI to pick scenes from YouTube videos and videos uploaded by users and to create scripts, captions and voice-overs to produce short-form videos; the marketing studio that creates AI ad images, videos and virtual people (AI models) from product photos and prompts; and related features.
• “Member” means a person who agrees to these Terms, signs up and uses the Service.
• “Workspace” means the unit that shares projects and credits. There are personal workspaces and team workspaces shared by several members.
• “Credits” means the unit used for work in the Service (video analysis, script generation, rendering and so on).
• “Source” means a video a member links or uploads; “Output” means scripts, audio and videos made with the Service.

• The Company posts these Terms in the Service.
• The Company may change these Terms to the extent permitted by law. When it does, it gives notice of the changes and the effective date at least 7 days in advance (30 days for changes unfavorable to members).
• If a member doesn’t agree with the changed Terms, they may close their account. Continuing to use the Service without objecting by the effective date counts as agreement.

• You can sign up with an email address or a Google account (Kakao sign-in is available in Korea only). People under 14 can’t sign up.
• If someone signs up with another person’s information or false information, the Company may refuse the sign-up or restrict use.
• Members are responsible for managing their account and password and may not transfer or lend their account to others.
• In team workspaces, what you can do depends on your role (owner, admin, editor or viewer). Only the owner can change the plan and seats.

• Exploring popular YouTube videos, analyzing videos and picking scenes, generating scripts, captions and voice-overs, editing and rendering, downloading outputs and uploading to YouTube, among other features.
• The marketing studio (paid plans) creates AI images and videos from product photos and prompts and trains virtual people (AI models). Generation is done by an overseas AI provider (Higgsfield), and outputs are labeled “AI-generated” (“virtual person” when one appears). You may not upload material that others have rights to — such as someone else’s face or trademarks — without their consent or the rights, and similar outputs may be produced for other users.
• The “budget voice” for voice-overs is generated on the Company’s servers using a voice model published by Supertone (Supertonic-3, OpenRAIL-M license). Section 10 also applies to outputs made with this voice, and when you post such outputs you must disclose that they contain AI-generated audio, for example by using the platform’s AI labeling feature.
• Available features, credits and file storage periods depend on your plan, as shown on the pricing page.
• Scripts, captions and audio made by AI may be inaccurate or untrue. Members must review outputs themselves before posting them.

• A set number of credits is used for each task, as shown on the pricing page.
• Subscription credits on personal plans can be used until the end of the month after you receive them; credits on team plans can be used within the month you receive them. Free credits received at sign-up are valid for 30 days, and separately purchased credits for 12 months from the purchase date.
• Credits that expire soonest are used first. Credits can’t be exchanged for cash or transferred to other members.
• If a task fails because of the Company, the credits used for that task are returned.
• For payments in Korean won, personal plan prices include VAT and team plan prices exclude VAT.
• Members on paid plans in Korea can add a higher AI tier (Enhanced AI or Super AI) as an add-on subscription. It costs 30% (Enhanced) or 120% (Super) of the plan’s monthly price at the time of signing up (rounded up to the nearest 100 won) and is billed monthly, separately from the plan. The higher tier is used for credit-using script writing and for background research and theme suggestions for Shorts, up to the plan’s monthly credits (each theme suggestion or script for a Short counts as 4 credits; each short drama request as 1). Beyond that, and for purchased credits or free tasks, the standard AI is used. Credit costs are the same regardless of tier. The add-on ends when the plan ends.
• Members in Korea who sign up through a referral link or code get a discount on their first credit top-up within 7 days of signing up, at the rate shown on the referral page (5% for codes members issue themselves; partner codes contracted by the Company are shown separately, up to 10%). The discount is capped at ₩5,000, applies once per account and doesn’t apply to plan payments (monthly or yearly). Members who signed up before October 2, 2026, and members who signed up through links or codes of partners active before then within the period set in the partner terms, follow the conditions shown on the referral page when they signed up. Creating multiple accounts or misusing referral codes may lead to the discount being canceled or use being restricted.
• Members in Korea may agree to the partner terms (in Korean), issue their own referral links and codes and introduce the Service. Partner earnings, settlement and payment follow the partner terms.

• Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period you choose (monthly or yearly). If you cancel, you won’t be charged from the next billing date, and you can keep using the period you already paid for until it ends.
• If you haven’t used any of the credits received from a payment within 7 days of that payment, you can withdraw from the purchase and get a full refund.
• Credits are digital content. Once any part is used, withdrawal is restricted for the used part under Article 17(2) of the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce.
• For purchased credits, if more than 7 days have passed since payment or some credits have been used, we refund the value of the remaining credits minus a 10% fee (minimum ₩1,000).
• Subscription credits and free credits aren’t refundable and expire when you close your account.
• For the AI tier add-on, if no task was processed with the higher tier within 7 days of payment, you can withdraw and get a full refund. Once used, that month’s payment isn’t refunded; if you cancel, you can keep using it until the end of the period already paid for.
• If you couldn’t use the Service because of the Company’s fault, we refund or compensate you accordingly, regardless of the above.
• For payments in US dollars, the Company is the seller and takes payment through PayPal Pte. Ltd. (“PayPal”). You pay on PayPal’s checkout page with your PayPal balance or a card. The price shown is the total you pay; no tax is added at checkout.
• Payments in US dollars follow our Refund Policy instead of the Korean-won rules above: within 14 days of a payment, we refund the share of the credits from that payment that you haven’t used (the full amount if you haven’t used any). After 14 days, for credit packs we refund the value of the remaining credits minus a 10% fee (minimum $1); plan payments older than 14 days aren’t refunded.
• Monthly plans in US dollars can be canceled at any time and stay active until the end of the month already paid for. Yearly plans in US dollars are paid once for 12 months and don’t renew automatically.
• To request a refund for a payment in US dollars, email help@shortsmith.kr. Refunds go back to the PayPal account or card you paid with, and refunded credits are removed from your workspace. You can also cancel a monthly plan in US dollars from the automatic payments settings of your PayPal account.

• Members must have the necessary rights to the sources they link or upload, or permission from the rights holders. The Company doesn’t secure rights to sources on members’ behalf.
• Rights to outputs belong to the member. However, rights to sources included in outputs remain with the original rights holders.
• The Company doesn’t use members’ sources and outputs except to provide and improve the Service, and doesn’t use them for promotion without the member’s consent.
• If the Company receives an infringement notice from a rights holder (send notices to help@shortsmith.kr), it may restrict the processing of the content or remove it in accordance with applicable law, and may restrict the use of members who repeatedly infringe others’ rights.

The Service’s YouTube features (looking up video information, showing comments and uploading) use YouTube API Services. By using these features you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and the Google Privacy Policy applies to information processed by YouTube.

Members who connect a YouTube channel can revoke the Service’s access at any time on the Google security settings page. Members are responsible for making sure the content they upload follows YouTube’s policies.

• Creating content that infringes others’ rights, such as copyright or publicity rights
• Creating illegal, obscene or hateful content, or content that otherwise violates law or public order
• Decompiling or reverse-engineering the Service, or disrupting its operation by sending excessive automated requests
• Sharing or transferring accounts, or obtaining credits by improper means
• Impersonating others without consent (including deepfakes), or creating content that defames, demeans or harasses others
• Creating or spreading false information to harm others, or creating or spreading personal information that could harm individuals
• Exploiting or harming minors, or exploiting vulnerabilities such as age, disability or social circumstances to distort people’s behavior and cause harm
• Discriminating against or harming individuals or groups based on legally protected characteristics or social behavior or personality traits
• Using outputs for medical advice or interpreting test results, fully automated decisions that adversely affect individuals’ legal rights, or predicting the likelihood of crime in judicial, investigative or immigration procedures

Source and output files are deleted automatically after your plan’s storage period (Privacy Policy section 3). Please download the outputs you need within that period. Projects whose source has been deleted can’t be rendered again.

• The Company may change or temporarily suspend all or part of the Service for reasons such as maintenance, outages or changes to external services (YouTube, AI providers and others), and will in principle give notice in advance.
• If a paid service is discontinued, the Company refunds the remaining period and credits accordingly.

• If a member breaches these Terms, the Company may restrict use in the order of warning, suspension and termination.
• Members can request account deletion at any time from the account page. For 7 days after the request, signing in again cancels it; after that, personal information is destroyed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
• The owner of a team with other members can close their account after transferring ownership or wrapping up the team.

• The Company isn’t liable for damages caused by natural disasters, the member’s own fault, or outages of external services beyond the Company’s control.
• The Company isn’t liable for members’ posting of outputs or disputes arising from it.
• However, the Company is liable in accordance with applicable law for damages caused by its intent or gross negligence.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes related to the use of the Service are resolved in the court with jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.

These Terms apply from October 9, 2026. This version takes payments in US dollars through PayPal (section 7 — the Company is the seller, and the price shown is the total you pay). The previous version, from October 7, 2026, added payments in US dollars, their refund rules and where to send infringement notices. This English version is a translation provided for convenience; if it differs from the Korean version, the Korean version prevails.
